The IC Team’ve employed Luscii with heart failure patients who had multiple in-hospital visits over a 2–3-month period in 2021 to remotely monitor the patients by collecting daily vital sign data and regular questionnaires.

The original aims of this study were to bring into WSIC the data collected by Luscii from the heart failure patient cohort in Professor Peters’ clinic (approx. 100 patients) and utilise the deidentified format of this data (Discover dataset) to perform Health Economic analysis of the impacts of this pathway change. This proposal was approved by the sDRAG committee of 18th November 2021. The scope of the study has now changed in that we now wish to flag into WSIC NHS numbers of approx. 100 HF patients from Professor Peters and Dr Plymen’ s clinic, who are not recruited to the Luscii programme. Once this cohort has been tagged into the deidentified Discover dataset, we wish to examine the demographics, comorbidities, medication usage, secondary care resource utilisation and associated costs for this cohort in order to compare the clinical outcomes of this ‘control’ cohort with those of patients that entered the Luscii programme.
