GIRFT is an NHS England designed to highlight unwarranted clinical variation between providers of healthcare & enables clinicians to discuss the implications of the variation on patient outcomes and service delivery.
The project will benefit patients by: Identifying unwarranted clinical variation between providers of care Agreeing recommendations with the ICS as to how they can improve quality to remove this variation Identifying best practice and promoting this across the country through the GIRFT Best Practice Library Monitoring take up of the National Bundle of Care for Children and Young People with Asthma, and making recommendations to the ICS in order to improve take up Using North West London as our exemplar site, will enable us to then work with other ICSs, allowing us to spread good practice in relation to information management as well as clinical care
