Public benefit statement
It is anticipated that use of the tool within the National data platform will significantly enhance system awareness and support patient-centric decision making from all care providers within the ICS; across primary, acute, mental health, and community care. The tool specifically focuses around flow and pinch points, rather than performance, to aid same day operational decision making. The aim is to ensure better patient flow through the system through provision of clear demand and capacity across the system. The value of doing this work is harmonising and augmenting local patient data from across the ICS combined with nationally available data. This is presented it in a way that will support current collaboration such as the NWL Surge Meetings and future collaboration across the ICS to proactively improve the health and wellbeing of citizens. North West London ICS, through this tool, will be able to assist providers in understanding how patient move through the system and know what resources are available at an aggregated level, such as demand on services in one or lack of capacity in another.
