This study aims to describe the characteristics (including age, sex, ethnicity, and index of multiple deprivation decile) of patients presenting to healthcare services (including acute and primary care services) in North-West London who go on to be diagnosed with an infectious intestinal disease (IID) – at each level of the healthcare system – and to examine the extent to which different patient groups with these diagnoses go on to receive a test (and test result) for IID.
