Lay summary
This study develops evidence-based strategies to maintain equitable emergency care in NWL during cyber crises using network modelling, patient choice analysis, and optimisation.
Public benefit statement
Direct Patient Benefits: This research will directly benefit the 2+ million residents of North West London who depend on emergency care services. When cyberattacks, such as WannaCry, force hospital closures, our evidence-based redistribution strategies will ensure patients can access timely, safe emergency care with clear guidance on where to go and minimise patient disruptions, avoid A&E capacity breaches and ensure equitable care.
