Lay summary
The overall aim of this study is to provide evidence for how lung nodule surveillance pathways can be modified to improve their efficiency and effectiveness in diagnosing early lung cancers.
Public benefit statement
This study directly benefits patients as it objectively evaluates the real-world population of patients under pre-diagnostic surveillance. This has not yet been completed outside a cancer screening or cohorts which are pre-determined by set characteristics (e.g. age range, smoking status, or concurrent co-morbidities which prompted CT scans).
