Lay summary
This study evaluates the impact of KDS, PD, and MHL self-management platforms on CRM biomarkers, healthcare use, and patient-reported outcomes among NW London diabetes patients, using mixed methods and follow-up data to inform future care.
Public benefit statement
From a patient perspective, the outcomes of the research should show whether the Know Diabetes, Preventing Diabetes and MyHealth London digital platforms are effective in improving CRM condition control and healthcare utilisation for the individual user. As outlined above, we will also invite people living with CRM conditions in NW London who are registered with KDS/PD/MHL to complete a cross-sectional survey to gain understanding on whether the platform is easy to access/use and is useful/acceptable. We will use this information to improve KDS/PD/MHL, which could improve the user experience for existing- and new platform users.
