In support of this national response, this project is investigating how to abstract data from the App (probably to daily counts of symptomatic individuals in LTLAs) such that it can be combined with data from other sources (eg 111 calls, death data, hospital admissions and test results) to accurately estimate the current extent to which the population in different areas of the UK is infected with COVID-19 and to make accurate forecasts of how this will change in the future.
