Development approach: Rule-Based. Classification of past or present symptom: Both. Classes produced: Affirmed, Negated, and Irrelevant.

Affirmed examples of anxiety includes:

Exclude Negative mentions of anxiety includes:

“ZZZZ does not show anxiety problems”

Excludes Irrelevant examples of anxiety includes:

“If ZZZZ was anxious he would not take his medication”

Examples related to the patient or someone else (“experiencer”)

i. patient: “ZZZ shows anxiety problems” ii. other: “nurse is worried about the patient” iii. unknown: “he showed clear signs of anxiety”
